Tartary Buckwheat Tea is made from the seeds of the tartary buckwheat plants. In fact, in Japan, Korea and China and Mongolia where roasted Tartary buckwheat tea, or soba-cha, has been consumed for centuries, people have been touting the extraordinary health benefits of this caffeine-free drink.

Our Tartary Buckwheat Tea is grown in Mongolia, Khentii aimag. Indeed, the soils of Mongolia remain untouched by pesticides and other harmful chemicals, ensuring an unparalleled, virginal soil vitality from which to develop truly clean, wholesome grains. Mongolia is well known for the richness of nature. No pesticide and no chemical fertilizer are used!

Tartary buckwheat benefits: this is special type of buckwheat which provides plenty of antioxidants, including rutin and vitexin. Rutin, in particular, has been credited with a number of health benefits, including improved blood flow and prevention of varicose veins and leg edema10.  Tartary buckwheat also is anti-cancer, treats hypertension and diabetes, lowers cholesterol, and improves cognition11.*
